Dyno Tuning

Here at Neville Lush Racing we offer our customers the benefit of 40+ continuous years of racing and tuning experience. We use an up to the minute specification Dyno-Jet 250i chassis dyno equipped with a eddy current load cell, live torque on screen and a 4 channel analogue input for data streams such as boost, EGT, O2 etc.

Neville Lush has been dyno-tuning motorcycles since 1997 and was the first Authorized Dyno-Jet Tuning Centre in South Australia. His experience is not confined to products such as Power Commander, Power Vision and the complete range of Dyno-jet products.

Neville is well versed in and uses many OEM race software for KTM, Kawasaki, YEC, SEPST and other aftermarket software including Woolich Racing, TTS, Tuneboy, Flashtune, Tuner Pro, Tune ECU, ECM Spy and others.

What is Dyno Tuning?

Dyno tuning is used to make custom maps for your motorcycle for fuel and ignition, to achieve the best possible tuning result. Using the Dyno-Jet 250i Neville measures the output and other data of your motorcycles engine, giving him details of horsepower, torque and air-fuel mixture over a range of RPM.

Neville can then use this information to make adjustments and finely tune the ECU and improve the ride-ability, efficiency and power of your motorcycle.

We do real tuning, not downloads

Often an inexperienced or lazy dyno operator will try a number of “tunes” or “downloads” in your motorcycle rapidly and leave the one which makes maximum power in the bikes ECU and say it is then “dyno-tuned”, when in reality it has been on the dyno and maybe tested. This allows a good dyno sheet to be produced at wide open throttle. Ride-ability and fuel economy are not as good as they can be.

Neville spends the time to completely map all parts of the fuel/ignition map from 2% up to 100% throttle yielding a greatly improved bike to ride. This is actually tuning your motorcycle, no short cuts are taken at Neville Lush Racing.
